Furthermore, the brand sealed a partnership with the luxury classic car brand Bugatti at the Bugatti headquarters in Molsheim in November 2018. The launch of the champagne ƎB.01, which is made of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir and bottled in this luxuriously dressed carbon design, celebrates Bugatti’s 110th anniversary of 2019. This marriage between the champagne house and the prestigious car brand reflects tradition and modernity, excellence, demand, and technology.

“Bugatti and Champagne Carbon are avant-gardists of their respective industry, translating their know-how achieved through a proud history into an innovative present and future.” Stephan Winkelmann President of Bugatti. Bugatti and Champagne Carbon take carbon as a symbol. “Our constant pursuit of perfection and relentless desire to innovate has naturally led us to a powerful brand like Bugatti: breaking the conventions and remaining one of the top luxury brands in the World.”- Alexandre Mea
Heritage. The succession of 5th Generation. Alexandre Mea.
Champagne Carbon is the master creation of Alexandre Mea, who represents the 5th generation of the Devavry family, who founded the champagne house in 1920 in Champillon. From generation to generation, the Devavry family bequeaths its know-how of high tradition with respect for nature and sustainable viticulture.

With the help of his grandfather Bertrand Devavry, Alexandre Méa, the youngest of the family, succeeded in making a vintage Champagne so superb that he decided to promote it most innovatively. This Champagne house, which has developed champagne of great finesse coupled with the technology innovation, has no rival amongst other champagne houses. Carbon champagne has become an independent branch Devavry Champagne.
Recently, Champagne Carbon has release 2012 vintage Blanc de Blanc;
“Clean tasting and intense, with good acidity, 2012 was a year with the potential to improve with age. This vintage brut champagne, made with grapes from a single year, consists almost entirely of Grands Crus, with 100% Chardonnay from the best villages in the Côtes des Blancs (Avize, Chouilly, and Oger).”
But Devavry-Mea Family is just passionate about winemaking as about motorsport. Creativity, love, and rigor are the keywords that ensure the success of this family. They are rooted in their terroir.

The Most Wanted Collectable: Champagne Carbon
Abreast of cutting-edge technology, and familiar with the international jet-set scene, Alexandre created the first carbon-coated champagne bottle for his delicious Cuvée Carbon and had registered the design. For maximum effect, he decided that the champagne would only be available in large format bottles in limited numbers: Magnum, Methuselah, and Nebuchadnezzar.
From Saint Barts to Saint Tropez, via Monaco, where he offered a bottle to Prince Albert at the Yacht Show, demand is growing among celebrities and jewellers are displaying it in their windows.

“This vintage champagne has a pale gold colour with a lovely brightness; great finesse in the glass with a fine cordon of bubbles; the initial bouquet is very complex with buttery, brioche aromas, and yellow fruit; on the palate the attack is voluptuous and direct, confirming the first impression of finesse given by the bubbles. Superb champagne to enjoy with a meal!” -Yves Chapier, president of the Sommeliers de Champagne-Ardenne
The Carbon collection has a very glamorous, kinetic and modern look. The black label with embossed gold for the champagne’s name and year, ring-shaped collar and gold-plated top of the cork cage, all presented in riveted black lacquer gift boxes (available as an optional extra) transform the bottles into works of art.
The number of outlets where the wines are available for purchase is extremely limited. The producers have opened a storefront in Saint Tropez that sells two items: The Carbon Champagne, and caviar. The wines are also available for purchase in Monaco, Moscow, Ibiza, Greece, London and soon in more exclusive places.
