investment, across 820 deals in 2017. Foreign investments formed an important share of the investments and non-US investors’ pool mainly from Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Europe is growing on a rapid pace. According to NASSCOM’s recent report “Indian startup-up ecosystem”, there are 500+ active investors in India, including 70+ active foreign angel investors.

Tentative Program
We recommend that you arrive by the evening of 30th October or latest by midnight
Wednesday, 31st October: Cross-border startup investment conference (letsignite.in) curated by swissnex India with local partner LetsVenture. Including country panel, Indian marquee investors, legal aspects of cross-border startup investments, startup pitches, networking. Swiss startup investors admitted by default.
Thursday, 1st November: swissnex India’s coaching including cultural sensitisation, 1:1 meeting with pre-identified startups or peer investors, visit of an accelerator or open innovation corporate.
Friday, 2nd November: Free day to organise your own follow-on meetings. It should be possible to depart the same night or next morning.
Costs
swissnex India will charge only CHF 250 per participant as administrative fees. The logistics of the program is hence self-funded by participants. The self-borne total cost would be approximately CHF 1’700-2’200 as follows:
Return economy flights (approx. 950-1300 CHF), accommodation (approx. 400 CHF for 4 nights), and Visa (approx. 200 CHF). Travel and health/accident insurance need to be organised by the participants.
swissnex India will send multiple entry business visa invitations to final participants by 5th October 2018.

Application
Seats are open to a Maximum of 20 Swiss Angels, Investors and VCs. swissnex India will confirm registrations on a rolling basis.
